Green Pavilion and White Pavilion

Survey, restitution and restoration projects for the Green Pavilion and White Pavilion structures within the garden of the Old Koşuyolu CVC Hospital in Kadıköy were prepared by Bike Architecture. The work covers the project production process for documenting the existing state of the two separate structures within the same area and their conservation.

In the survey phase, the mass characteristics, floor organisations, facade layouts and roof coverings of both structures were examined on site; existing state drawings were prepared in line with measurement, photograph and observation data. Front, rear, right and left facades were addressed separately; window arrangements, floor cornices and entrance layouts were transferred to the survey sheets. A site plan documented the positions of the structures within the garden and their spatial relationships with each other.

Within the scope of the section studies, the vertical organisations, floor heights and inter-space relationships of the structures were set out in sections taken from different axes. Plan drawings were prepared to show the spatial distribution and functional organisation by floor.

In the restitution projects, restitution proposals relating to the architectural integrity of both structures were developed on the basis of the survey data; facade and plan layouts were evaluated in the restitution sheets. Within the scope of the restoration projects, architectural intervention decisions for the conservation of the structures were addressed; mass integrity, facade layout and relationship with the surroundings were taken as the basis.

The work was conducted by Bike Architecture as a comprehensive project process covering the preparation of survey, restitution and restoration projects for the Green Pavilion and White Pavilion in the Old Koşuyolu CVC Hospital garden, produced at site, plan, section and facade scales.
